Audrey Duncanson is a Senior Portfolio Manager within the Science division at the Wellcome Trust. Her role is to help develop and implement strategic funding initiatives in genetics and genomics and to identify opportunities in these areas. After receiving a BSc (Hons) in Molecular Biology and a PhD from the Department of Genetics, University of Glasgow, Audrey went on to postdoctoral studies at the Department of Genetics, University of Leicester. Her current responsibilities include the management of the genomics portfolio at Wellcome as well as specific projects such as the H3Africa Consortium, the Darwin Tree of Life project and the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health Initiative (GA4GH).
