Reece is a computational biologist/bioinformatics professional, proponent of open systems for human health, and Python aficionado. He's the author of several open source packages related to genome interpretation. In past lives, he was CTO of a nationwide genomics medical practice, a ground-floor teammate at Invitae, and a scientist in bioinformatics and protein engineering at Genentech. Eons ago, Reece earned a PhD in biophysics and MS in computer science. He's now enjoying living a balanced life consulting, spending time with family, and volunteering.
