David Bernick is the Chief Information Security Officer at the Broad Institute. He is responsible for the full suite of security services for Broad including "traditional" infrastructure and network security as well as Application Security for systems like Terra. The focus of his work has been security automation and building "self-service" frameworks so developers and scientists have tools to manage their own security without dedicated security personnel. He is also the security lead for NIH's AnVIL project and is the extramural advisor for NIH's Researcher Authentication Service (RAS) project. He was a child actor and Screen Actors Guild member and you might remember him from some episodes of Unsolved Mysteries.
