This session will use worked examples on realistic data sets to illustrate different levels of data harmonization effort that can be applied in implementation of Data Connect:
Level 1 - Data shared as-is with mechanical description of the schema. Burden is on consumers to understand and make use of the data.
Level 2 - Data is shared with well-described but still site-specific concepts. Data consumers have all the detail they need to make use of the data, but still need to deal with different definitions between sites.
Level 3 - Multiple sites align on a shared schema for their subject area, allowing data consumers to query across datasets effortlessly.
We will provide ample time for back-and-forth discussion with session attendees where relevant needs and experiences can be shared
