At the 13th Plenary in Sweden (2025), the GA4GH tech team shared an MVP (v0.1) of an analytics dashboard to track GA4GH ecosystem health and impact across three evidence streams: GitHub activity, PyPI distribution, and publication signals. Community feedback informed v0.2 (December 2025), which added an integrated “total impact” snapshot, growth trends over time, repository activity and engagement metrics, and PyPI categorisation and release-velocity views — built on a curated GA4GH analytics database and unified API layer.
For Connect 2026, we will demo the new web-based dashboard and walk through what has changed since v0.2, including any expanded data sources, improved usability, and updated metrics. The second half will be a structured working discussion to shape the roadmap to 14th Plenary in 2026: validating which metrics best represent adoption and impact, identifying priority gaps (e.g. external implementations beyond the GA4GH GitHub org), and agreeing on the next data sources (e.g. Europe PMC and beyond).
Working session outputs (what we want to leave with):
- a ranked list of top dashboard enhancements for the next release;
- agreement on must-have metrics (and which are “nice-to-have”);
- a shortlist of new data sources and coverage expansions to pursue next.
