The Experiments Metadata Standard group was made official at 11th Plenary and has since then been working on:
1) a core set of properties to properly describe a sequencing experiment;
2) a list of sequencing experiments categories to characterise in more detail the particularities of various types of sequencing experiments (transcriptome, methylome, chromatin, etc.). A hackathon is also occurring this summer to discuss this further.
This Plenary Connect session will present the result of our work to the attendees and aims to collect additional feedback from Driver Projects representatives. Connect sessions are a way to reach out to the larger GA4GH community, such as Driver Project members, so we aim to gather the questions, comments, and suggestions we need to finalise a draft of our checklist for the Product Review Committee in the fall.
