Description

Settle what is next for the GA4GH Passport and AAI specifications by considering how these specifications are used for standards-based secure data sharing and data use.

In this session, we will explore the Data Visiting context and where Secure Data Sharing and Data Use happens across institutions, enabled by establishing trust relationships and security policy.

Several AAI and Passport ecosystems will be showcased, including ELIXIR and NIH RAS. Session attendees will learn how to build and grow ecosystems using the Fake Passport Ecosystem to demonstrate trust relationships and data sharing.

Lastly, the group will discuss plans for the next version of Passports and AAI and show drafts and proof of concepts around new specification features that are taking shape, such as smaller tokens and downscoping.
