Dr. Michael Mackley is a Senior Resident Physician in the Division of Clinical & Metabolic Genetics at the Hospital for Sick Children and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Toronto, in Toronto, Canada. Prior to his clinical training, he completed his DPhil in Medical Sciences at the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. Dr. Mackley’s research employs mixed methodologies to explore and advance the integration of genomic medicine into clinical practice. Dr. Mackley is particularly interested in the implementation of novel service delivery models in genetics, and is helping to lead local and national efforts to bring the clinical genetics service (and broader healthcare workforce) into the genomics era.
