Controlled data access does not scale: manual review of Data Access Requests, repetitive negotiation of data access agreements, and error-prone consent translation create chokepoints for repositories. The GA4GH Data Use & Researcher Identity (DURI) Work Stream is advancing four products toward computable governance, and this working session invites parties invested in computable governance to shape the specifics of each:

Passports — new visa types encoding data-residency policy, building on the data passports framework described by Lawson and Conner (https://dx.doi.org/10.2139/ssrn.5372874)
DUO — updates to a streamlined Data Use Ontology, extending its proven machine-readable consent vocabulary (>3,000 dbGaP datasets mapped with 93% parity; adopted by EGA)
DAAO — the new Data Access Agreement Ontology, built on GA4GH Model DAA clauses
DARO — the new Data Access Request Ontology, derived from a systematic review of DAR forms

The session is structured for focused, real-time feedback on each product's scope, model, and open questions. Outcomes will directly inform the next iteration of each product and the accompanying whitepaper.
