Name
Building a more representative human reference: a working session for joining the Human Pangenome Project
Description

This session proposes a working, action-oriented collaboration between the Human Pangenome Project (HPP) and the National Initiatives Forum (NIF): a working session that helps national genomic initiatives — regardless of region or current stage — identify their own concrete next step toward eventual participation in the global pangenome that Human Pangenome Reference Consortium (HPRC) and its federated partners are building. For some initiatives, that next step will be contributing population data and drawing pangenome-based tools back; for others still working through consent or data-sovereignty questions, it will be getting matched with the right governance conversation; for others still, it will simply be understanding what the standards involved would mean for their programme. Attendees will leave with a shared partnership template and a written, named set of next steps.
