Dr Wadha Al Muftah is a physician-scientist and healthcare executive with over 17 years’ experience leading national-scale precision medicine and genomics initiatives.
She is a founding leader of the Qatar Genome Programme and currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at the Qatar Precision Health Institute. Her work focuses on integrating genomics into clinical care and delivering population-level impact aligned with national health priorities.
Dr Al Muftah has extensive experience in building and scaling complex, multi-stakeholder programmes and brings deep knowledge of healthcare systems, policy and implementation. She is recognized for her leadership in advancing precision medicine in Qatar and the Middle East.
