Takako Takai-Igarashi is Manager at Department of Health and Clinical Data, Japan Agency of Medical Research and Development (AMED). AMED provides seamless support on medical research from basic research to clinical applications by centralizing grants in the field of medicine. Department of Health and Clinical Data promotes genomic medicine with annual budget of roughly 150 million dollars. She is now in charge of 10K WGS analysis of Japanese population, integration of supercomputing environments, and controlled sharing of genome and clinical data. She graduated from the Dept. of Chemistry, Ochanomizu University and received her master’s degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Tokyo and her Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from Ochanomizu University.
