At plenary Maili will be presenting on the Regulatory and Ethics Work Stream (REWS) Diversity in Datasets policy that she co-led throughout her time with us. Maili was our Policy Analyst, based within the REWS of the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health. Here, although spread across the sub-groups, she primarily worked on genetic discrimination, public attitudes, ethical provenance and diversity in datasets. Maili now works as a Researcher at the Nuffield Council on Bioethics in the UK focusing on Bioethics and Policy. She continues to work within the genomics space, among other areas of bioethics, looking into a UK approach to genomics ethics as well as research into artificial intelligence and genomics. She holds a law degree from the University of Glasgow and a Masters in Medical Law and Ethics from the University of Edinburgh.
