Alastair Thomson serves as a Senior Advisor for Data Innovation at the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), where he focuses on ensuring that ARPA-H data is as Findable, Reusable, Interoperable and Reusable as possible while ensure that data supports ARPA-H’s health equity mission. He formerly served as the Chief Information Officer for the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute where he led the development of the BioData Catalyst. He is a graduate of the University of Otago where he also previously directed the University’s Computer Science Applied Research Center.
