Melissa is a Scientific Product Manager at ELIXIR Europe, working within the Human Genomics and Translational Data team. Her primary focus involves creating and harmonizing tools that guide countries along an international, interoperable pathway to advance their genomic and related data infrastructures. Melissa led the development of the 1+ Million Genomes Framework and the ELIXIR Human Genomic Data Maturation Model. These key initiatives are being adapted for use in the European Genomic Data Infrastructure (GDI) project. Her educational background includes a PhD in neuroscience and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
