Mamana Mbiyavanga is a Senior Bioinformatics Software Developer at the Computational Biology Division, University of Cape Town, South Africa. His research interests include pharmacogenomics, machine learning applications in genomics, and developing infrastructure for genomic data sharing across Africa. He contributes to major genomics initiatives including the African Genomics Data Hub (AfriGen-D), eLwazi Open Data Science Platform, H3Africa Bioinformatics Network (H3ABioNet), and CINECA. Through these roles, he advances the implementation of genomic medicine and best practices for data sharing throughout the African continent.
