What is Connect?

Connect is a working meeting to advance GA4GH product development and collaborate on areas of shared interest. Connect has previously benefited from attendance from active GA4GH contributors. Once the agenda is posted, please review the resources linked to each Connect session to learn more about the relevant products and aims of the session.

 

When does registration end?

In-person registration will close on 31 March 2026. In-person registration is not available onsite.

 

How do I get to the venue?

Le Centre Sheraton Montreal is located at 1201 Boulevard René-Lévesque West, Montréal, Québec H3B 2L7, right in downtown Montreal. It’s easily accessible by metro, train, bus, taxi, or car.

🚇 By Metro

  • The hotel is a 2‑minute walk from Bonaventure Metro Station (Orange Line).
  • Exit at Bonaventure, follow signs toward René‑Lévesque Boulevard, and the hotel is just steps away.

🚆 By Train

  • From Montréal Central Station (Gare Centrale), it’s about a 5‑minute walk.
  • Head west along René‑Lévesque Boulevard; the hotel is between Stanley Street and Drummond Street.

🚌 By Bus

  • Several bus routes stop nearby, including 150, 24, 35, 420, and 427.
  • The closest stop is René‑Lévesque / Stanley, right by the hotel entrance.

🚖 By Taxi / Rideshare

  • From downtown Montreal locations, a taxi or rideshare is typically 5–10 minutes.
  • From Montréal‑Trudeau International Airport (YUL), expect about 20–30 minutes depending on traffic

🚗 By Car

  • The hotel is on Boulevard René‑Lévesque West, near the Bell Centre.
  • On‑site parking and valet services are available.

 

 

 

What are the entry requirements for Canada?

International attendees should review Canada’s entry requirements, which may include a valid passport, visa, or Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), depending on their country of origin. View the requirements by country here.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Dietary restrictions can be noted in the Connect registration form. If you need to alter your preferences, you may contact operations@ga4gh.org or modify your registration on the event website.

 

Is there travel funding support available?

GA4GH has a limited amount of funding to support the attendance of invited guests, speakers, and participants at GA4GH meetings. Eligibility requirements include:

  • financial need;
  • having a specific role at the meeting;
  • cannot participate remotely;
  • from an underrepresented population within GA4GH or from a low to middle income country;
  • will have a meaningful impact on the meeting or its outcomes.

If you meet the above eligibility requirements, you may submit this Travel Support Request form by 2 February, 2026. Applying does not guarantee funds. GA4GH staff members will evaluate the applications and notify recipients of their awards status within a few weeks of the deadline.
