Where is the Merkin Prize Ceremony held?

The symposium will occur in the auditorium. The reception will follow in the Merkin lobby. Both are located on the first floor of the Merkin Building. 

 

How do I get to the venue?
By public transportation: the Richard N. Merkin Building at the Broad Institute is conveniently located near several public transit options such as the Kendall/MIT subway station on the Red Line and several bus lines, including the EZ-Ride, CT2, 64, 68, and 85. You can map out your journey on the MBTA website.

By car: there is limited street parking near the venue, although there are several nearby parking lots with varying fees. Drop-offs by cabs or ride-share services are also an option with varying prices.

 

Is parking available?
The closest parking lot to the venue is the Yellow Garage at 75 Ames Street. An alternative garage is the Green Garage at 90 Broadway.

Is late or accessible seating available?
The Merkin Prize Ceremony often reaches capacity so we strongly recommend arriving early to ensure you get a good seat. If you are unable to join at the start of the program or need to step out during the event, please speak with a member of the staff in the lobby. We will do our best to find you a seat.

If you require accessible seating, please speak with a staff member upon arrival or email merkinprize@broadinstitute.org prior to the ceremony.
