The Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard (Stanley Center) and the Bio-X Institutes at Shanghai Jiaotong University (Bio-X Institutes) are jointly organizing a Pan-Asia Symposium on the Genetics of Brain Disorders that will be held from July 9th to 11th, 2018 in Shanghai, China.
 
The symposium will be jointly chaired by Drs. Steven Hyman (Stanley Center) and Lin He (Bio-X Institutes). This symposium will include topics in brain disorders research related to genetic analysis of Asian populations and follow-on studies that have been facilitated by genetics research with a special focus on advances inspired by our collaborative efforts. Key topics include psychiatric genetics, phenotyping across languages and cultures, biomarker discovery and validation, the production and utility for psychiatric research of stem cell lines.
